Sales engineer, a consultant's number one partner
Sales engineers (SE) identify client's particular needs, provide them with a customized solution, and assist the consultants of their teams by providing them with high-quality projects. They have commercial, managerial, financial, and human resource-related responsibilities, while consultants are responsible for the technical aspects of a project.
Sales engineers participate in the process from the moment we respond to a client’s request for proposal. They negotiate and sign contracts and also take part in project coordination, making sure that all requirements in terms of quality, costs, and deadlines are met. They know to surround themselves with the best professionals in all areas of engineering.
SEs also serve as the dedicated point of contact for the consultants who provide technical support on-site at the facilities of Sophia Conseil’s clients. They advise the consultants of their teams and guide them in their chosen career. Based on these recommendations, the sales engineer proposes rewarding projects. Such projects, with high professional added value, make it possible for Sophia Conseil’s consultants to develop their skills and know-how in order to achieve their goals. We understand that a trust-based relationship between PEs and consultants is only possible if PEs deal with a limited number of consultants, projects, and clients at the same time. Therefore, we intentionally limit the number of tasks performed by our PEs, which results in an additional cost for the company. However, this is the price we pay to ensure the quality of all of our services. Lastly, PEs analyze the CVs submitted by engineers and conduct hirings.
Like consultants, the job of a sales engineer varies based on the individual's experience:
